Tracey has practiced as a lawyer for seventeen years in commercial litigation and insolvency, including many years experience in banking and finance litigation on behalf of one of big four banks as well as second tier bankers and other financiers.  During that time, she has represented clients, large and small alike, in all types industries.  She has experience in all Courts in the State and Federal jurisdiction as well as in execution proceedings, including bankruptcy and winding up.

  

Tracey has had a role in many large corporate collapses, whether for the insolvency practitioner or a specialist role, protecting the interests of one of the various stakeholders.  These roles include:

  

•Acting for the Liquidator of Estate Mortgage;

•Acting for the Liquidator of Security Directors ($100m+ collapse);

•Acting for a Secured Creditor in National Safety Council collapse;

•Acting for the employees of Pyramid Building Society in the Jolly Litigation;

•Acting for the Liquidator of Byron Moore Journeaux Pty Ltd, the collapse of Australia’s then oldest stockbroking company

•Acting for the Trustee in Bankruptcy of John Journeaux. 

  

Her experience enables her to bring a unique approach to litigation by recognising that not all matters are the same and tailoring an approach that best suits the client’s needs.

  

As well as extensive litigation experience, Tracey has experience in transactional property matters including:

  

•Drafting loan agreements, 

•Preparation of securities over land and attending to stamp duty and lodging requires;

•Preparation of debentures over Company property and associated documents for stamp duty compliance and registration at ASIC;

•Drafting joint venture agreements;

•Drafting Shareholder Agreements;

•Acting on sale of business agreements, including preparation of all documents and transfers of licences.
